Home Care Services
Florida home health care helps seniors live independently for as long as possible in their own homes depending on their medical condition and home situation. Home health care providers cover a wide range of home health services and can often delay the need to enter an assisted living facility or long-term skilled nursing home.
Florida Home health care services may include occupational and physical therapy, speech therapy, and even skilled nursing care. It may involve assisted living services to help the elderly with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating. It may also include assistance with cooking, cleaning, other housekeeping jobs, and monitoring one’s prescribed and over-the-counter medications.
Some Florida home health companies offer skilled nursing services, certified nurse assistants, and home health aides. Other companies offer only non-medical services such as homemaker and companion care. Some home health providers offer all services.

Elder Care Management
Elder Care Managers, often referred to as Geriatric Care Managers, are contracted by individuals or family members to assess, coordinate, and monitor services for elderly and/or disabled individuals.
Professional geriatric care managers often have advanced degrees in social work or nursing. The care manager will provide an in-home needs assessment and evaluation to determine the elderly person's strengths and needs. An elder care manager may act as a liaison to family members, doctors, banks, and community resources.
