Karen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health Education from the University of Utah with extended study in gerontology. She created SeniorPro.com in 1998 when she returned to Florida and became frustrated with the limited and unorganized Internet information on Florida elder-care services and resources. Karen researches and organizes senior information and writes and designs websites for the senior industry, putting her in contact with professionals and individuals throughout the United States.

Karen currently lives in Central Virginia with her husband Stan Andresen and continues working with the Florida senior industry and has extended her services to the senior industry in other states across the nation, as well as Internet marketing other types of businesses. Karen has raised her own eight children and is currently raising 2 grandchildren with her husband Stan. Along with her SeniorPro Marketing Internet business, their 108 year old farm house that continually demands attention, and of course her grandchildren, she devotes much time to helping and communicating with other grandparents raising their grandchildren through her website raisingyourgrandchildren.com.

Karen was also on the Charter Board for FACES of Virginia Families, an association for Foster, Adoptive, and Kinship Care Families. She communicates and consults with other seniors who are also raising their grandchildren. Her love and devotion for seniors and children are evident by her life choices.
